The Route

How the Sharjah to Dubai car lift works

A car lift from Sharjah to Dubai (also called pick and drop) is the daily commute without driving, parking or waiting at a bus station. You share the car with two or three riders going the same way, or book it privately. A shared seat costs AED 70 one way, a private car AED 150, and a monthly shared seat AED 2,800 from Monday to Friday. Fuel and Salik tolls are included, so the price you’re quoted is the price you pay. Cars collect from Al Nahda, Al Taawun, Al Majaz, Al Khan and Muwaileh, and drop at Deira, Business Bay, Media City, JLT and other Dubai districts, with the evening leg home running as our Dubai to Sharjah car lift.

What a Sharjah seat costs

One fixed fare covers the whole trip.
  • Fuel and tolls. Paid by us, whichever road the driver takes.
  • Collection at your building. No walking to a meeting point.
  • A held seat. The same car and seat every day on a monthly plan.
  • Luggage. Two bags in a sedan, four in an SUV. Laptop bags don’t count.
  • Free cancellation. Up to 12 hours before pickup.
Where the car reaches you depends on which part of Sharjah you live in.

Areas we collect from in Sharjah

Pickups cover the districts that commute into Dubai every morning.

Al Nahda and Al Qasimia

The busiest pickup zone and the closest to the Dubai border.

Al Majaz and Al Khan

Corniche towers, collected from the building entrance.

Al Taawun and Al Mamzar approach

A quick run onto Al Ittihad Road, handy for Deira offices.

University City and Muwaileh

Popular with students and staff heading to Academic City or Silicon Oasis.

Al Nahda 2 and Al Twar border blocks

Buildings right on the border, served on the same run.
Where the car finishes is the other half of the timing question.

Where we drop off in Dubai

Drop-offs follow the fastest road for your destination.

Deira and Bur Dubai

The shortest finish from Sharjah.

Business Bay and DIFC

Reached by the bypass roads, away from the city-centre queues.

Media City, Internet City and Al Quoz

A longer drive, so these seats leave first.

Dubai Marina and Jumeirah Lakes Towers

The far end of Dubai, best booked on the earliest slot.

Academic City and Silicon Oasis

Reached straight from Muwaileh and University City.

Tecom and Barsha Heights

Same finish as Media City, same early departure.

Al Barsha

Near Mall of the Emirates, reached the same way as Business Bay drops.
Which of those roads the driver picks depends on where you are going and what time you leave.
Al Ittihad Road or the E311

Al Ittihad Road or the E311

Three roads link Sharjah and Dubai. Al Ittihad Road (E11) is the shortest and fastest early in the morning, and it passes the Al Mamzar Salik gates. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311) is longer but usually quicker for Business Bay, Al Quoz, Media City and the Marina once traffic builds. Emirates Road (E611) is the longest and has no tolls.

Your driver picks the road on the day, based on live traffic. The fare stays the same either way.

In short
Riders who cross more than three times a week usually switch to monthly within a month.

What driving yourself across the border costs

Driving into Dubai from Sharjah looks cheaper than it is. Fuel is the small part. Salik charges on the way in, a parking space near the office charges by the hour, and the car sits idle for nine hours in between while it depreciates.

The bigger cost is attention. Al Ittihad Road at 07:30 is stop-start for most of its length, and an hour of that arrives at a desk already spent. Riders who switch report the same thing: the crossing stopped being the worst part of the day.

A seat is AED 70 with fuel and the Salik gate inside it. Two people in one private car at AED 150 lands close to the same place per head, and neither figure changes on a morning the road misbehaves.

Whether it is worth it depends on how often you cross. At five mornings a week it usually is, and that is where the monthly seat comes in.

Daily, weekly or monthly from Sharjah

The same seat, bought three ways. Pick by how regular your week is.

Daily

AED 70 a seat, booked the night before against whatever is free in your window. Sensible for two or three crossings a week or while you are testing the route.

Weekly

A block of legs across one week, priced on the number taken rather than at a flat rate. Send the days and the times and we will confirm the cost before you commit.

Monthly

AED 2,800 shared or AED 5,200 private for Monday to Friday. The seat is yours on the mornings you skip, which is the point of holding one.
Students on a four day timetable are priced on that timetable rather than rounded up to five.

Drivers who know the Al Nahda approach

Three checks clear before anyone drives this crossing.
  • A current UAE licence Verified before the first morning.
  • Background verification Completed and held on file.
  • A documented accident-free record Checked, not asserted.
  • The Al Nahda approach Knowing when it compresses, and how far back, decides whether the car leaves Al Majaz at 06:15 or 06:25.
  • The same driver on a monthly seat They learn which tower entrance you use rather than reading the building number off a screen.
