The Route

How the Dubai to Sharjah car lift works

Most passengers use this route for the evening commute from Dubai to Sharjah, although morning journeys are also available for people working or studying in Sharjah. Instead of driving yourself, finding parking or waiting for public transport, your booked car collects you from your agreed pickup point and takes you to your destination.

The AED 90 shared fare is fixed before travel and includes fuel and Salik tolls. A private car costs AED 190 one way, giving you the entire vehicle and a more direct journey. There is no separate surcharge simply because the evening traffic is heavier than usual.

For occasional travel, a daily car lift gives you more flexibility. If you travel on selected days each week, a weekly car lift can be a better fit.

What a seat to Sharjah costs

The fare is agreed before you travel and doesn’t rise with traffic. A slow evening costs the same as a fast one.
  • Fuel for the full trip. Paid by us.
  • Salik tolls. Covered, whichever road the driver takes.
  • Pickup at your office door. No walking to a meeting point.
  • Waiting while you come down. A few minutes of grace at pickup.
  • A held seat. The same car every day on a monthly plan.
  • Free cancellation. Up to 12 hours before pickup.
Nothing is added for a late finish, and nothing is added when the queue at the boundary runs long.

Where we collect across Dubai

Pickups follow the road out of the city, so the run stays efficient.

Deira and Bur Dubai

Closest to the border, and the quickest trip home.

Business Bay and DIFC

The busiest pickup area on this route.

Al Quoz

For staff finishing on shifts rather than office hours.

Dubai Marina and Media City

The longest start, so these cars leave earlier.

Al Qusais and Silicon Oasis

Already on the Sharjah side of Dubai, and often the last pickup.
Where you finish in Sharjah decides which road the driver takes out of the city.
Al Ittihad Road, E311 or Emirates Road?

Al Ittihad Road, E311 or Emirates Road?

There are several ways to travel between Dubai and Sharjah, and the fastest option depends on where you are starting and where you need to finish.

Al Ittihad Road is a direct choice for areas such as Al Taawun, Al Khan, Al Majaz and central Sharjah, although it can become congested during the evening peak.

E311 (Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road) can be more suitable for destinations such as Al Nahda, Muwaileh and University City.

E611 (Emirates Road) provides an outer route that can work better for industrial and farther-out locations.

The driver chooses the route according to traffic and your destination rather than following one road regardless of conditions. If a route change is likely to affect your arrival time, you can be informed.

Monthly seat or pay per trip

Riding both ways five days a week is where monthly starts saving money.
Best value

Monthly seat

AED 3,500 covers both legs, Monday to Friday. Same car, same seat, and no booking message every evening. See our monthly car lift plans.

Per trip

AED 90 each. Right for two or three evenings a week, or if your finishing time changes.
In short
Your monthly seat is held even on days you don’t use it, which helps when a meeting runs late.

Why commuters choose a car lift instead of driving

The cost of the journey is only part of the decision. Driving between Dubai and Sharjah every evening also means dealing with congestion, Salik, fuel and parking.

With a shared car lift, you pay AED 90 for the seat, with fuel and Salik already included. You can use the journey to rest, answer messages or simply switch off after work instead of concentrating on the road.

Parking can be another reason to leave the car at home. If your workplace is in Business Bay, DIFC or another busy Dubai district, you avoid taking your own vehicle into the city and paying for parking throughout the working day.

For two people travelling together, a AED 190 private car works out at AED 95 each. That is only AED 5 more per person than a shared seat, while giving the group the entire vehicle and more control over the journey.

Daily, weekly or monthly home

Three ways to hold an evening seat, and they suit different working weeks.

Daily

AED 90 per shared seat. This works well if you travel only a few evenings each week or your finishing time changes regularly. Seats are subject to availability.

Weekly

A weekly booking is useful when you know which days you will travel but do not need a seat every weekday. It suits hybrid workers, students and people working fixed shifts.

Monthly

AED 3,500 shared or AED 6,500 private, Monday to Friday. A monthly plan is aimed at regular commuters who want a consistent seat and do not want to arrange another booking for every evening journey.
Riders who pair this with the morning leg from Sharjah are billed as one monthly seat rather than two.

Drivers on the evening crossing

Nobody works the evening run without all three checks on file.
  • A current UAE licence Checked before the first evening.
  • A completed background check Held on file.
  • An accident-free record Documented, not declared.
  • Office tower pickups Knowing which entrance at each tower the car can wait at without being moved on.
  • The road chosen on the evening Al Ittihad Road before 17:00, the inland highway once the peak sets in, and you are told which way the car went.

What the crossing costs against driving yourself

Costing the drive properly changes the comparison. Fuel across thirty kilometres is small. The Salik gates on the way out are not, a parking space in Business Bay charges for the whole working day, and the car depreciates whether it moves or stands.

Then there is the hour itself. An evening spent in the boundary queue is an hour of concentration at the end of a working day, and it arrives home already spent. Riders who switch describe that as the change, not the money.

A seat is AED 90 with fuel and the Salik gates inside it. Two colleagues sharing a private car at AED 190 pay AED 95 each, five dirhams above a shared seat, and get a departure time they set and stops at both addresses.

Across a five evening week the monthly seat at AED 3,500 costs less than the same evenings bought one at a time, and it holds the place on the evenings you finish late.
